Dates set for 2008 Repositories conference | 22/01/2008

The intraLibrary Repositories conference is scheduled to take place in Edinburgh on the 21st and 22nd February.

The conference is aimed at anyone interested in digital repositories and addresses three key themes:

What is a Repository for?

Can a single repository have many uses? Can it be open access as well as closed and secure? Can it store research outputs, images, learning resources and podcasts? Why would anyone want to maintain multiple systems?

The Repository as a Service

How do repository services fit with the social networking, e-learning, research, library and other services that people use everyday?

It’s the Community that matters

Forget about the technology and focus on the people. What makes people want to share and what inhibits them? What are the incentives? Which incentives work?

Invitations to attend have been sent out this week but if you have any questions regarding this event please contact us at enquiries.
