Repositories: Back to the Future
28-29 April 2010Where have we come from and where do we need to go?
This year's annual intraLibrary conference will be held in Edinburgh on 28-29 April 2010.
As this year's event coincides with Intrallect's 10th birthday it seems appropriate that it should review the past and look to the future.
The draft programme offers many interesting events including two outstanding keynote presentations:
- National Assessment Resource; Neil Livesey, Learning and Teaching Scotland
- Finding, Using and Managing Learning Content Dan Rehak, Technical Advisor, ADL Initiative
An overview of the conference and draft programme are available as well as a registration form for those planning to attend. The deadline for registration at the conference is 16 April 2010.
Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodation. A map showing nearby options is available here.

National Repositories Symposium
26/27 June 2008Intrallect ran this event (hosted by JORUM in The University of Edinburgh) which brought together a number of national repository projects to share their thoughts on the issues surrounding the implementation of national learning object repositories. There were representatives there from JORUM (UK), COLEG (Scotland), NDLR (Ireland) and NCeL (Saudi Arabia). The symposium was incredibly useful and looked at topics such as Implementation Plans, Rights, Metadata and Open Access.
Intrallect had previously developed a mind map of the domain which was referred to throughout the two days. This was refined and is intended to be further developed. In addition to the overarching domain map the group developed two more maps during the event which reflected, and to some extent recorded, the discussions around two of the key issues. The three mindmaps are linked to here:
We may release further materials based on this symposium in the future but, in the meantime, please get in touch with us at enquiries@intrallect.com should you wish to know more.
